GENERAL.
001. Absolutely no spamming. No spamming the cbox, no spamming the actual board. This means no random, off topic posts. No advertising anywhere but the advertising board.
002. Please, no excessive cursing. In character is fine, I have absolutely no problems with that. No problems with a bit in OOC as well. But don't go overboard, mmkay?
003. Respect everyone. The staff, the members, even the guests. Unless these people are rude. Then just talk to me or the other staff members about it.
004. Avatars can be 100x100. No bigger, no smaller. Signatures don't have an actual limit, but please, don't have them stretch out the page. That's just annoying. Incredibly annoying.
005. Your username can be whatever you like, but please, your display name must be your character's first and last name. Middle names are optional, not required, though.
006. Please, please, please, post in font size 1. It just makes everything look neater, and everything matches. I'm kind of picky with that.
CHARACTERS.
001. Please, don't modify the application format. It's that way for a reason. Don't change anything, please.
002. Follow the standards give for applications. There's a word minimum, just because this is an intermediate site and we'd like you to be able to write as much as possible. For your RP sample, it's fine if you use something from another site. Just make sure it's of your best quality. That way you'll make a great first impression.
003. Make sure you have a seperate account for each character. Also, before you create a second character, you must have 30 posts. At least 15 of them must be IC.
004. Please, make sure that the celebrity you use matches the age of your character. I'm not saying that if you play a 17 year old, you must play a 17 year old celebrity. Just don't have Cole Sprouse playing an 18 year old guy, okay? Keep things real.
005. Speaking of celebrities, let's go over claiming them. You must be accepted first, then claim your celebrity. You can reserve them, but only for five days. Then the celeb is up for grabs. Make sure someone else hasn't taken your celeb, or else you'll have to redo your application. Appearance, that is.
006. No Mary-Sues, or Gary-Stus, or whatever you like to call them. As Hannah Montana says, nobody's perfect. [That's the password, by the way. nobody's perfect.] Anyway, your character has to have flaws. But not everyone has had some sort of tragic history. Diversity, people.
ROLEPLAYING.
001. Happy Faces is rated PG-13 to R, so there's going to be sexual content, whether you like it or not. You're not forced to read it, though. If your thread is going to have mature content in it, put something like [R] or [MATURE] in the title of the thread. Don't go overboard, though. Fade to black if needed. We wouldn't want to break the ProBoards TOS and get this forum deleted, now would we?
002. Make sure your posts are AT LEAST 350 WORDS. It's an intermediate site, and that isn't even that hard. Ramble on about the weather, your character's mood or even the french fry your character is eating. If you break this rule repeatedly, you will get warned. And, also, this rule is subject to change.
003. No godmodding or powerplaying. We've all probably been on RP sites before, so we all know what this means. It's totally against the rules. You can only control your character, and your character must have flaws.
004. Make sure to use proper spelling and grammar. A few mistakes is perfectly fine, we're not perfect. But the spell check is there for a reason. Improper spelling/grammar is not tolerated here, we're trying to make this site as literate as possible.
005. Remember to post in third person. Like this: Autumn stepped outside, shivering. Not like this: I stepped outside, shivering.
